Software Engineer / Managing Director

Maldives currently faces a shortage of qualified and experienced IT professionals, specially in the field of software development. I look forward to a day when Maldives has its own IT industry with software engineers who not only meet the demands of the local market but also compete internationally. I aspire to be one such individual. (2009)

Nasru has mainly worked in Maldives Post Ltd., where he has been actively involved in IT, Marketing and Business development activites. His achievements include being awarded the AusAID scholarship both for doing his Undergraduate and Masters degree in Australia.

I am a software engineer with about three and a half years of experience working in the field. My goal is to further my career in IT to the extent where I become a respectable and valuable asset to the industry. I believe that software solutions can not only make day-to-day work easier and efficient but also can facilitate equal provision of services and information to all corners of Maldives - which faces a digital divide today. (2009)

Shazna has worked in the Public Service Division of The President's Office (Maldives) and is one of the two creators of VEYO, an Employee Management Software that is used by the Maldivian Government today. Her achievements include being awarded the Endeavour Postgraduate Awardexternal link in 2007 by the Australian Government to undertake her Masters degree.

Qualifications:

Master of Software Engineering

Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development)
Australian National University, Australia.

Communications and Creative Director

While I started off armed with just pen, paper and the written word, today’s tech savvy world demanded the execution of a range of skills just to put across the simplest of messages. So I started to dabble in graphic design, multimedia, animation, and videography, so much so that I now doodle as much as I scribble.

Lujain has worked in the national television station, Television Maldives, as the Acting Editor of the English News, where he was mainly involved in editing scripts and reports and ensuring that the bulletin goes on air on time without a hitch. His achievements include obtaining the highest grades in his graduating class for both his Bachelor’s degree and Advanced diploma, along with being awarded a Chevening Scholarship under the scheme funded by the British Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Having recently completed his Master’s degree, he is now working freelance.
